Not Busy Anymore

I have no pictures today. Normally I only blog when I have a picture to attach. I have been a very bad blogger lately. I have been so busy with work, Josh's games and cheer. With cheer now over(sniff, sniff) I may get my to do list done.

I am very distraught about Jaden not cheering next year. She came home the other day and just the mention of cheer I turned into a puddle of salty water and snot! I am not the only one that is upset, numerous people in the community have said "what will we do without Jaden?". The principal has also talked to her about continuing because she is almost guaranteed a cheer scholarship. Her cheer coach had a 'vision' about starting an all-star league not affiliated with the school, this way they will be able to cheer and compete. I am determined to make that vision a reality! Do they not understand that this whole cheer thing is about me?! Really what will I do with myself it it is gone?

MY TO-DO LIST :
I am trying to get my basement finished before Jaden moves out! (cross my fingers). And when I say "I" am, that means literally I am doing it. I have gotten the walls primed, the moldings in the office cut and stained, the base for the hearth built.
What is left:
rock and granite the hearth
carpet and hardwood
build the bar
mouldings
install wall and ceiling speakers
paint
lighting fixtures
get a new pool table(since the store that was housing mine went out of business and never called)!
Now that this list is written, is seems so short! So why is it taking so long.....

SnowBall

This year the Cheerleaders hosted a dance, The SnowBall. The night before the dance we were at the school decorating until almost 1 am. The decorations turned out so cute, and their will be a DJ there also. Im sure the kids will have a great time. Oh wait, did I mention Chad and I are the chaparones?!

It was so much fun to sluff school and go shopping with Jaden for a dress. She had wanted a short dress but of course we could not find one she liked ANYWHERE. She found this dress and it was IT. I begged and pleaded for J to get some heels and of course we end up with nike's with a gold swoosh. She is beautiful and she made the nike's look amazing!

I had to get a pic of Jaden at the piano. She is self taught, and plays mostly by ear. She can read sheet music but not like most people do. She doesn't know c,d,e,f,g,a,b, she looks at them like numbers.
Jaden had 5 boys ask her to this dance, she ended up going with her friend Kendall. He is such a good kid and is one of the few that meets Chad's approval. Kendall even brought Jaden roses.
They went with Hadlee, Brando, Nicole and Sawyer. For their day date they went to Logan to Valentines Day and to Dinner. It was 730 when they got home so it was a rush to get ready.

Jaden had warned Kendall that there would be photo shoot when he came to pick her up, he was a little worried about that. So, I promised that I would only take one picture and of course it came out blurry! It was hard to restrain myself and not pull all the kids out of the truck that were waiting. Once I get the dance pix I will post those.

It amazes me how time flies. It seems like yesterday when Jaden was 2 years old singing 'Angels Among Us' to me in her ladybug skirt, while she was rolling on the floor of my Hyde Park house. I cherish every moment I get with her and can't wait to see where she will take her life.

Sledding

Today we went Snowmobiling/Sledding with the Stratford's up Burton Canyon. The kids always have such a great time. (Jaden was on her day date for the SnowBall and couldn't go with us) Josh has been getting a little to brave on his sled, hitting jumps, to much speed and we are constantly reminding him to SLOW DOWN.
The weather here has not been the greatest but today was beautiful and so warm. Since we are so close to the mountains we rarely load our sleds to go anywhere. It is so nice to be able to walk out of the house jump on your sled and go. Hopefully Abbey will go again... On the way home I had her on the back of my sled, I stopped to help Josh out of a canal. I stood on my sled and gunned it, looked back and almost dumped Abbey of the back!

This is Marcey all Abbey
you could see were her
feet.
Ted pulling the girls.
Chad playing on the hill. Of course I always miss the good pix, when he got to the top and almost wheelied over.
Shame on us we didn't have our helmets on!
Josh and Trent
Ted and Amber. I think they had the most fun out of everyone!
