Joe's

After a fun day of 'almost skydiving' and a little culture at the Dinosaur Museum we had hungry kids so we headed over to Joe's for some crab.

This sign made us laugh, it completely applies to Grace. We have had snow(and not the crab kind) every morning. More than likely we will have snow in our buckets all summer long. Only in Grace Idaho does it snow in July!

Josh ready to go!

Jax had to have a bib, too.

Dinosaur Musem

My kids love going to museums and since we were in Salt Lake we had to stop by the Dinosaur Museum. I love that even 16 and 13 year olds still have fun there. Jaden's favorite part of the day was the baby Wolly Mammoth. Josh found a two toed sloth, his aunt use to call him 'Josh the 3 Toed Sloth', he was pretty excited about that. Jax loved digging in the sand, well scooping it up in the shovel and throwing it in my hair. The kids had fun and I love watching them.

Skydiving... almost

For birthday's I try to give my kids experiences instead of the standard gift. For Josh's b-day this year we went to IFLY. Josh loved it and I think he has found a new favorite sport. We weren't out the door and he was asking if he could join their flight school. Josh did amazing and was the only one, the instructor let do a front-flip. Jax wanted nothing to do with it, so Jaden was kind enough to sit with him and watch. We had so much fun! We were given a dvd and if I can get it uploaded I will post it.
Looking stunning in our flight suits!

Josh went first.

My turn.

This was the only picture we got of Chad. Jax wouldn't let J take any pictures of him, he had to do it. What a fine job he did.

Chad's google lines.

A New Beginning

Jaden, Josh and I have a tradition that we always drive through the old neighborhood and see our old house. This last time my mom was with us and she demanded that we do a drive by 'shooting'. Thank goodness for my mothers picture addiction, once I got home I realized I had never taken any pictures of our house!

I have no idea how to put into words the emotions I have when I look at this house. After many years of a very turbulent marriage and divorce, this is where we came. This was not just a new start for us, but a rebirth. This was were I found my worth, my voice, my inner peace, safety and stability for my kids. I was able to buy this on my own, a feat that I never thought I would be able to do. I had an amazing job and the opportunity to provide for my kids, something I had been unable to in the past.
For some this may be a very meager existence but for me it will always be Jaden, Josh and I's first real home. This is the place that started it all, the beginning of a journey that has brought me to the place that I am now, and for that I am forever grateful.

Jax's Playhouse!

Jax got a very large swing-set for his birthday. Thank God for all the help we had to get this done! It only took 5 guys and about 20 hours! I wish I had gotten a pix of all the boxes and parts that came in them.
Almost done.

Like the trailer in the background says,"It's that simple"!

Jax had to have Josh and Grandma Linda(hiding in the house) test out the new playhouse.

Jax kept saying,'Can all the boys and girls come to my playhouse?'

Headfirst down the slide!

Josh had to go down too.

Jax spies...Mom!

What a 'Wicked' time!

I never imagined what a wicked time I would have just getting to this play! After my cruise I would have thought my bad luck was done for the year, it seems that it was just getting started! To make a very long story short- We made it and we had such a wonderful time! I was sad that Raquel was not able to go, but was happy to see her!

Ready to leave for the show!

Waiting for the show to start.

Waiting for the show to start!

Wicked was an amazing show! The cast was fantastic and the props were excellent! And the company could not get better! Next month is Les Mis and I will post which I think is better! I can't wait.
