Last Easter post

As always everyone is spoiled rotten, J, Jax and Josh got clothes and other fun gifts. I can never find anything for the man that has everything, so this time I painted a sign for Chad's poker room. Kendal even got a basket, and of course we had an easter egg hunt.

We had Easter dinner and Jax's bday all together. I made cupcakes for Jax and with the left-overs I had the kids make their cupcakes into easter baskets. So happy to share these events with family.

Jax is 3!!!

How quickly time flies! I was not 100% sold on having another baby after 10 yrs, but what would my life be without my Monster Jax! I know so many call it the 'terrible two's', I love 2 year olds and I am sad they are gone and I will never have another. However, 3yr olds are just as fun!

Jax had so much fun opening presents, eating cake and his favorite: having everyone sing happy b-day to him.

CInderella

The Drama dept play this year was Cinderella. Nona, the director, did an amazing job! Everything from a live orchestra, amazing costumes, beautiful dancers, and strong voices. The talent here is amazing and at times I forgot I was watching a high school production.

The Social Dance club was asked to perform a ballroom scene in the play. Jaden was also asked to be a Dancing Horse (She wasn't to excited about that one)

I love holidays, it gives me an excuse to spend time with all my kids, at one time.

Grandma Linda's

Easter Egg Hunts 2011

Grandma Linda came to spend Easter weekend with us and being the wonderful Grandma that she is, she took Jax and Josh to an Easter egg hunt while I was at work.

Josh helped Jax make an Easter crown.

And helped him pick up eggs.

Saturday I was able to go with Jax.

I guess the lady in the upper left hand corner didn't read the sign that said '3 years and younger'. Not a single child around her, and she had 4 stuffed animals.

Have I ever said how badly I HATE Easter hunts, they are about as fun as a parade! Its amazing how free candy makes some adults go crazy.

Jax on the other hand was very picky. He by passed everything but a ball, two easter eggs, and a juice box. Other then the crazies, we had a great time.

The Bar

My dad helped me set the cabinets, build the half wall, pull some wiring and get the fridge in.

The other day I got around to hanging the flashing, framing that in and getting the foot rail up.

All I have left is the counter top and build some barstools and the bar will be finished!

Easter Wreath

I am trying to be better about posting my crafts and other projects but most of the time I am lucky if I get the project done, let alone take a picture, upload it and blog about it. This may be my only one for the year but at least it is something.

This wreath was super simple:

pearlized eggs, glittery grass, glittery carrots and a whole lot of hot glue.

I love these two kids! I hope that they embrace all of these moments and remember them always. I am so blessed to have such an amazing daughter. She makes me proud everyday. Kendall is an amazing young man, also. He is the first that I have truly trusted with my daughter. (I should not make that public considering Kendall is petrified of me, and that has seemed to work in my favor.) At the end of the summer Kendall will be leaving us to go on his mission. Our prayers are with him to come home safely.
